The Guest Chefs Give Back program allows founders Ratha Chaupoly and Ben Daitz to team up with chef colleagues, friends and mentors to create a signature, limited edition num pang to raise money for charitable causes.

Supporting various causes has always been a priority for the Num Pang team who participate in charity events and direct fundraising efforts, whenever possible. This program will allow the Num Pang team, their guest chef colleagues and their loyal customers to more directly and proactively raise money for causes that are important to them.
$6 of each sale is shared equally between two charities personally selected by the chefs.

Gramercy Tavern Pang
(Dec. 3 - Dec. 31, 2013)

The 4th collaboration in the Guest Chefs Give Back features a partnership with Chef Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern. For the month of December, we will be featuring the "Gramercy Tavern Pang" inspired by recipes in the newly released Gramercy Tavern Cookbook. The limited edition sandwich features a hearty duck meatloaf with house-made kimchi.

Num Pang selected Food Bank For New York City whose mission is to end hunger in the five boroughs by organizing food, information and support for community survival and dignity. Chef Anthony has chosen God's Love We Deliver, which delivers food and teaches people with AIDS and other serious illnesses how to cook healthy and nutritional meals.

Cardoz Pang
For their 3rd collaboration, Ben and Ratha partnered with Chef Floyd Cardoz of North End Grill and featured a limited edition "Cardoz Pang". The Cardoz Pang was black pepper lamb braised in yogurt and spices including cloves, green cardamom, coriander, and ginger on a toasted semolina baguette with chili yogurt, pickled red cabbage and carrots, cucumber and fresh cilantro and mint.

Num Pang selected Tuesday’s Children , an organization providing support and services for children of 9/11. Chef Cardoz chose The Young Scientist Foundation, which encourages kids to discover their passion for science to develop new treatment for diseases.

ABC Pang
The second collaborators in the Guest Chefs Give Back series partnered Chefs Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Dan Kluger of ABC Kitchen to create the "ABC Pang" in July 2012. The "ABC Pang" featured chicken salad with Thai basil, jalapenos, Num Pang's signature chili mayo and lime piled onto a crunchy semolina baguette topped with crispy chicken skin and spicy cashew butter spiked with Thai chilies and candied ginger.

Num Pang selected The Double H Ranch a year round camp in upstate New York that provides specialized programs and support for children and their families dealing with life threatening illnesses.

Chefs Vongerichten and Kluger selected The Edible Schoolyard, a charity that empowers children in New York City public schools to make healthier food choices through hands on learning.

Batali Pang
The first collaborator in the Guest Chefs Give Back series featured Chef Mario Batali in February 2012.
The "Batali Pang" featured Cotechino Sausage with Pickled Balsamic Onions & Cacio de Roma Cheese. Proceeds directly benefit Food Bank for NYC and Cambodian Children's Fund .
